Golfing in Maine
Stephen King has probably done more for drawing attention to the state of Maine than anyone else in the entertainment/media business. The problem is that he has basically put forth the notion that the state is haunted. What a shame he never wrote for a golf magazine because he could put forth a wealth of material on the little known fact that Maine is home to some of the absolute best golfing in New England as the Booth Bay Country Club proves. This is an excellent resort located in the very family friendly environment that also boasts a national collegiate golf tournament that is bound to draw large crowds. So, if you are considering a New England golfing excursion, Maine should definitely be a place to consider.

Golf School Vacations
One does not have to be an expert to enjoy the game of golf. In fact, being a beginner and learning the game is a fun experience that will leave many indelible impressions on a new student of the game’s mind. If you are a parent who wants to teach your children the game of golf, have you considered a golf school vacation offered by America’s favorite golf schools? The courses offered by AFGS run anywhere from 2 to 5 days and are great fun for the whole family and they are offered in virtually all 50 states! So, you can pretty much convert any vacation (even an Alaska grizzly bear sightseeing excursion) into a golfing lesson vacation for the whole family. Such a vacation will provide great memories so why not take advantage of it?

The Benefits of Golf Forums
Probably the best aspect of the internet is that there are many sources of information on the World Wide Web that are not static, but are based on interaction. Probably the most common of these interactive mediums would be message boards (aka forums) where people can communicate with each other with what is essentially an electronic message board. Of there are a number of Golf Forums that can prove incredibly helpful for those who have questions or may need a little advice when it comes to selecting a golf vacation package or even picking destination. Asking such questions as to what makes Florida golfing better than California golfing can help a potential vacationer steer himself in the right direction and selection.

Katrina and Biloxi Golfing
Hurricane Katrina was probably the most devastating natural disaster to strike the southeast section of the United States. The damage done to the states of Louisiana and the state of Mississippi was incalculable. If one were to look for a beacon of hope in terms of the reconstruction that is being done to the region it would be the Fallen Oak golf Course at the Beau Rivage Resort in Biloxi, MS. The course has re-opened after a spectacular $550 million (yes, over a half a billion dollars) renovation and those wishing to visit the Biloxi area for a golfing vacation with the family now have a place to visit that is not only a tremendous golf course, but also a major beacon of hop for those who believe the restoration of the Southeast United States is possible.
